Ferro Scrap Nigam Limited is a Public Sector Undertaking with Miniratna status in category-II. It is a joint sector Enterprise controlled by the Ministery of Steel. It is one of the subsidiaries of the MSTC Limited along with share capital of Rs. 200 Million. The main job of the company is to process and recover the scrap from refuse and slag generated during steel and iron production at steel plants.
FSNL offers special services like Processing of steel and iron skulls, Steel Melting Shop slag in slag yards and Dig and haul of Blast Furnaces. It is also involved in removing ash & sludge from ash ponds and sludge compartments.
