Directorate general, Indo Tibetan Border Police, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. Of India has invited the recruitments for the post of Assistant Surgeon/Assistant commandant (Veterinary) in Indo/Tibetan border police force.
Name of Post: A notification has been issued for recruitment for the posts of Assistant Surgeon/Assistant commandant (Veterinary) in Indo/Tibetan border police force.
Nature of the Post:
Selected candidates will be governed by ITBPF Act 1992 and ITBPF Rules 1994 and will be posted anywhere in India. These officers will have to wear the badges and ranks as per instructions of Government of India.
Total Number of Vacancies: 32 posts have been issued for the recruitment of officers in INDO TIBETAN Police force.

- A candidate should hold bachelor degree in veterinary science and animal husbandry from recognised university. Should have registration with Veterinary Council of India.
- Physical measurements required for this posts are height: 157.5 cm, chest: 77 cm, weight: relative to height and good mental and physical state.
Candidates should not be more than 35 years as on 30-11-2012 and age relaxation of 5 years is applied for government servants/SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
A pay scale of Rs. 15600- Rs. 39100 will be applied along with grade pay of Rs. 5400 + 25% NPA in ITBPF. Apart from the mentioned pay other allowances are also applied such as DA, CCA, HRA, free ration, special compensatory allowance, free fuel, rent free family accommodation, special duty allowance at 12.5% and uniform grant of Rs. 14000.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of interview regarding personality and medical examination in detail.

- Age proof
- Educational qualification
- Registration with Veterinary Council of India.
- Caste and category certificate
- 2 passport size photographs duly signed by a gazetted officer.
- 2 self addressed envelopes
- Attested copy of NOC issued by employers.
All the applications should reach “The Senior Administrative Officer (Pers), Directorate General, ITBPF, MHA/Govt. Of India, Block II, CGO Complex, Lodi Road, New Delhi- 110033” with a cover of “Application for the post of Assistant Surgeon/Assistant Commandant (Veterinary) in ITBP 2012”.
Candidates are required to get the Performa of application and other certificates from the official advertisement of the recruitment. Applications that do not follow the prescribed format will not be entertained on any condition. Following the conditions of service the selected candidate will be required to serve the force for minimum of 10 years period. If a person opts out before 10 years then he will have to refund amount equal to 3 months pay with allowances or cost of training whichever is higher.
