Great Career Ahead with SSC Junior Translator (CSOLs)/Junior Hindi Translators Examination- 2013
Candidates seeking career in Languages have huge possibilities in Junior Translators posts offered by Staff Selection Commission. These posts come under department of official languages of Central Secretariat Official Language (CSOL) and various government departments. Candidate will be appointed as a translator who has expertise in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa. Those who possess Master Degree with either Hindi or English as an elective subject are eligible to apply. Additional requirement is for certification in translation in both languages or two years experience in same.
How to apply
Interested candidates must submit their applications in format as prescribed by the commission. These application formats will be available on SSC website and in advertisements. Moreover they will be required to send these applications along with related documents that stand for their support of age, education, skills and category. However, before applying for any of the post one must submit his application fee through Central Recruitment Fee Stamps. They should be pasted on application form as indicated. All applicants must be careful regarding guidelines indicated by commission for application and fee procedures.
Syllabus for Junior Translator (CSOLs)/ Junior Hindi Translators Examination- 2013
Candidates will have to go through two phases of selection procedures. First phase would be of written examination that will carry 400 marks in total while second phase will comprise of interview or personality test. Interview will carry 100 marks that will test skills and abilities of a person through his personality. Written test will further be divided into two papers as indicated below:
- Objective Type: This paper will contain one section for general English and one for general Hindi. Here person will be tested for his basic knowledge of languages and literature. He must be well aware for usage of correct grammar and words. All questions will be of graduation level.
- Conventional Type: This section will tougher than the first one. Two comprehension passages will be given to candidates. One will require translation from English to Hindi while other will require vice versa.
